Shannon Hegy is an American journalist who co-anchors the 5, 6, 6:30, 10, and 11 p.m. newscasts at WPRI 12 in Providence, Rhode Island. Raised in Windsor, Connecticut, she has had a strong connection to Rhode Island since her youth.
Shannon earned her degree in broadcast journalism from Hofstra University in New York in 2007. She started her career at WGGB in Springfield, Massachusetts, where she progressed from the assignment desk to the main anchor position. She joined WPRI 12 in 2013.
